Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) regulates the building industry in Tasmania. Builders, building services providers, and building surveyors must be accredited to carry out building work.
All accredited practitioners must maintain appropriate levels of insurance and comply with the Building Act 2016 and associated regulations.
